USAA
DesignOps: three weeks to four days
In-house design validation turnaround cut from three weeks to four days, and a team converted from Scrum to continuous-delivery kanban.
Testing in-house
Design validation at USAA routed through an external research pipeline with a three-week turnaround -- long enough that teams shipped without validating. I pioneered in-house design validations that brought the loop down to four days, making testing the default instead of the exception.
Scrum to kanban
Design work doesn't sprint on two-week rails. I converted the team from Scrum to a continuous-delivery kanban model, matching process to the actual shape of design work and smoothing handoffs with engineering.
